Learning

We publish extracts from evaluation reports on this page, and also critical lessons learned that would be of interest to others.

A report on a training given recently in Mozambique, for disabled women, on "Countering oppression and towards empowerment" is available to download here.

An independent evaluation of our project to strengthen the Lao Disabled People's Association ("LDPA") was completed during 2008 - read it by clicking here.

We helped LDPA build an extensive database of disability with funding from the UK Department for International Development's Knowledge and Research Programme.  The database helps create a fuller picture of disability and can serve as a useful model for other countries.  Click here to download an evaluation of the database.

Joan Okune, from Reading University, recently examined the way that oral histories support development. An extract from her dissertation, focussing on our Voices programme in Mozambique, may be read here.
