Laos: Lao PDR is one of the poorest countries in the world and also the most bombed country in history, as a result of the Vietnam War. Around 266 million cluster bombs were dropped between 1967 and 1974. Of these, approximately 80 million remain unexploded.

Mozambique: In 1992 peace returned to Mozambique after 15 years of war which saw landmines decimate the land.

One of the poorest countries in the world, with a population of almost 19 million, we play a significant role in the struggle for social reconstruction and welfare provision for disabled people.

Zambia: With one of the continent's highest levels of unemployment, it is also heavily affected by the HIV/AIDS epidemic, with 1/5 estimated to be HIV positive. Life expectancy is only 40 and falling. This situation serves to marginalise those at the fringe of society, especially people with disabilities, who often have no access to basic services.
